How to Schedule a Demonstration with Moore Autism Center
- Call Moore Autism Center to set an appointment time.
- If seeking evaluation and treatment, you will need to obtain a referral from your primary care physician for evaluation and treatment of speech, language and use of a speech generating device.
- If only interested in a demonstration with self-pay rates, no doctor’s referral is necessary.
- Additional procedures will be determined upon results of demonstration, evaluation and/or therapeutic treatment.
Moore Autism Center Demonstration Policies
- The Moore Autism Center is available by appointment only by calling 405-735-8478.
- Upon completion of a speech, language and/or augmentative/alternative communication device evaluation,
devices are available for demonstration and trial as part of therapeutic treatment. - Device demonstration is also available without evaluation and treatment at a self-pay rate.
- Requests for equipment demonstrations may be made by a person with a disability, family members, advocates or service providers (e.g. therapist, teacher, rehabilitation counselor).
- Not all devices available for demonstration are available for short term loan through the ABLE Tech Equipment Loan Program. If interested in borrowing equipment after a demonstration, assistance can be provided by the speech language pathologist to inquire about availability and loan procedures.
- If demonstration and trial of a device results in effective usage as part of therapeutic treatment, you will be assisted by your speech language pathologist in the process of obtaining a personal device.

Jakob was diagnosed with a speech-language delay and went to Moore Autism Center to explore potential augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices to help him communicate.
Moore Autism Center functions as a comprehensive one-step evaluation and treatment option for children, adolescents, and adults on the autism spectrum. The center’s autism specialist psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists partner with Oklahoma ABLE Tech program specialists as a Core Program Partner to demonstrate potential assistive technology (AT) devices to help clients gain or maintain independence in their lives.
Jakob participated in a device demonstration with his speech-language pathologist, Brooke at Moore Autism Center. Brooke showed Jakob an iPad loaded with the Proloquo2Go app.
The Proloquo2Go app is customizable and designed to help individuals communicate. The app’s versatility makes it useful for a variety of individuals.
Jakob used the AAC device to request using the water tube more. “He was very excited to be able to share what he wanted,” Brooke said.
