Effective alt text describes non-textual elements, such as images or graphs, in textual terms that can be read aloud by a screen reader and interpreted by the screen reader user. Alt text is an essential element of accessible and inclusive digital environments. It is also an art that requires attention and practice.

During this session, attendees will learn from digital accessibility experts, Lyssa Prince, Lisa Larges, and David Andrews about the importance of alt text, what non-text elements are, and how to properly create a textual equivalent based on the element’s context.
Certificates of Attendance will be provided for those who attend the full session.
