Thank you for participating in the survey last month. We received valuable input and we're making plans to incorporate your ideas.

Did you know? We received feedback regarding the need for an easier way to send Success Stories. This is a great point and we are so glad it was mentioned. In fact, there is AN EASIER WAY to submit Success Stories straight from the ABLE Tech website! It can be found at the bottom of the newly designed ABLE Tech home page... consequently, be sure to refresh once there.

For your convenience, here is a direct link to the Success Story & Photo Release Form. Once you click on the link, you can bookmark the form for future reference.

Friendly Reminder

Friendly reminder as the holidays are approaching: ABLE Tech follows the Oklahoma State University (OSU) holiday guidelines; therefore, the offices will be closed December 20, 2019 through January 2, 2020.  We wish you a happy and healthy holiday season!

Save the Date!

ABLE Tech will host the mandatory partner meeting on March 18, 2020 in Stillwater. Please mark your calendars and more details will follow. We enjoy this meeting as much as you do and see it as an opportunity to network and learn more from each other about assistive technology (AT) and statewide resources for those living with disabilities. Agenda details to follow as we get closer, but we should be able to roll out new NATADS features that we believe everyone will be excited about!

Please Welcome our Newest Device Demonstration Partners

Stillwater EyeCare, located in Stillwater, is one of our newest demonstration centers. Dr. Walker, with Stillwater EyeCare, is the only low vision rehabilitation specialist in Stillwater. He assists individuals with visual impairment, and those who are legally blind, to help them maximize their vision and independence. He is excited to partner with ABLE Tech to increase patient awareness of AT options.

Newby-Vance Mobility is located at the John Vance Auto Group in Guthrie, Oklahoma, just 20 minutes north of Oklahoma City. Newby-Vance has a second Oklahoma location in Miami, Oklahoma, serving Northern Oklahoma, and parts of Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri. The addition of Newby-Vance Mobility as a modified vehicle demonstration site provides increased statewide services for ABLE Tech. Newby-Vance Mobility starts with a belief that every person with a mobility challenge has unique and individual needs, and that every person has a right and should be provided an opportunity to lead a quality life.

All partner information is located on ABLE Tech’s partner page. Please visit this page to learn more!

Spotlight on Success

Tyson is a happy, outgoing 3-year-old boy with a diagnosis of apraxia of speech and receptive/expressive language delay. Through the OSU Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic and ABLE Tech’s device short-term loan program, Tyson was able to borrow a weighted vest. The vest helped his agitation and stress during structured activities.  He has been able to stay on task longer, as well as feel calmer and more secure. The family is happy to have found such a valuable AT solution for Tyson.
