Modifying a Style
🖥️ Windows
- In the Styles Pane, select the dropdown button next to the Style you want to modify.
- Select Modify from the dropdown
- Use the options available in the Modify Style window to set the characteristics of the style
You can modify things like Font, Color, Paragraph Spacing, etc., all within this single window.

🍎 macOS
- In the Styles Pane, select the dropdown button next to the Style you want to modify
- Select Modify from the dropdown

🌐 Web
Unfortunately, the Web version of MS Word does not have the same level of Style customization as the desktop versions because there is no Styles Pane. However, you can use this method to update the standard Styles available to you.
Select the text you want to update the Style for
Use the Font and Paragraph sections of the Ribbon to customize the text
Once you have made the changes you want to save, navigate to the Styles dropdown, then select the Styles dropdown menu
Right-click the Style you want to update
Select Update [Style Name] to match selection. The style name within the brackets will be the style you selected in step 3.
